What do we offer...?

Well, that's simple- exactly what you want. We have been in the cottage rental business on Lubbers' Quarters with Sea Level Cottages since 1989. In that time, we have had the chance to meet a lot of people from all over the world and, as you may know, everyone's got an opinion! So we listened. We finished the cottages with quality products but kept that "simple cottage" feel. We added some conveniences such as air conditioning(central units) in the cottages, a commercial ice maker in the common area(fill the boat cooler or just a drink), created a great venue for local knowledge and more. Our common area, or "lounge" as we like to call it, provides a great place to hang out right on the beach and waterfront and is where we lay out a small continental breakfast and coffee in the morning. The lounge, while never crowded, gives you a place to trade stories with a few others; or stake out your own private spot and read a book. All guests must be 18 or older, so you can always have your peace and quiet, even if that involves a rum drink with your feet in the water. So, for you couples out there looking for a small, intimate waterfront location in Abaco, Bahamas, we're your spot. If you're looking for a resort like Sandals, keep looking! With Cracker P's next door, it's the shortest walk on the island for great food and a "Shotgun", their house rum drink!. Tilloo Cut and Tahiti Beach are directly in front of us so you have easy access to the ocean for fishing, the beach for shelling or just sittin in the water with a beer!

What is included:

  • 20' Albury Brothers boat
  • Morning coffee & Continental breakfast
  • A boat lift for the boat
  • Full bar/restaurant, Cracker P's, right next door
  • Lounge/reception area with open kitchen, ice maker, beach shower, lounge seating- a great place from which to enjoy the beach and wonderful view!
  • Friendly staff to answer questions or point you in the right direction for your days adventure in the boat.

A typical day ...

You wake from a relaxing sleep on all-natural linens to the chirp and hum of native birds such as warblers, bananaquits and hummingbirds, after a casual night out at Cracker P's or a nearby restaurant, perhaps with a local DJ or band playing. Stroll through the wooden walkway winding through the virgin tropical forest of our 13 acre preserve to the lounge for coffee and breakfast, complete with locally baked goods from the bakery on the island. Enjoy the wonderful view from the expansive decks and check the schedule board for what's going on for the day. You may decide to stay on-island to soak up the rays on one of our two beaches, go birdwatching on one of many trails throughout our 13 acres, or just read a book and relax in the outdoor lounge or in the privacy of your Abaco cottage.

You may want to go exploring out on the water for the day. Your 20' Albury Brothers boat will take you island hopping: snorkeling, beachcombing, and visiting the many nearby small island settlements. You'll go to a local beach bar and restaurant for lunch, where you will enjoy some of the freshly caught local fare and sample such typical Bahamian dishes as peas 'n' rice, pineapple coleslaw, lobster salad and conch fritters. The many quaint towns on the surrounding islands offer a variety of great restaurants, local shops and gift stores, and friendly people born to the rich Bahamian culture.

Meals

Cracker P's is the island bar and restaurant, located right next door to Lubbers' Landing, providing our dining facilities. Click here for their Menu. Cracker P's is not open every day. On the days that they are closed, there are several other restuarants within ten minutes by boat. Bottles of beer, wine and liquor can also be ordered at the reception desk whenever needed. In addition, our cottages are equipped with kitchens, if you wish to cook your own meals in your cottage. Groceries can be purchased on town trips from the many local grocery stores and markets in the settlements.
